Implementing co-operative international, multidisciplinary RD&I can present some challenges. RD&I Management includes to:
- Support consortium partners in understanding their contractual obligations under e.g. grant and consortium agreements
- Work as an intermediary to support the communication between partners with different national, cultural and organisational backgrounds and goals
- Develop with project partners the detailed actions and deadlines needed to implement project work programmes
- Develop quality assurance measures for the complete spectrum of project activities
- Organise, minute and follow-up consortium meetings
- Evaluate conformity of project deliverables compared to work programmes
- Structure, review and edit reports to ensure conformity with work programmes
- Track project progress compared to the work programme, including budget spend
- Analyse risk and develop mitigation strategies
- Mediate between partners to obtain optimal solutions
- Lead or co-lead communication with funding authorities e.g. with EU support under Horizon Europe
- Develop approaches and solutions for ethical issues
- Develop approaches and solutions for security issues
- Ensure quality and efficiency of the project implementation
- Track conformity with project implementation compared to grant agreements e.g. with EU support under Horizon Europe
- Lead the writing of management reports, necessary for funding authorities e.g. with EU support under Horizon Europe
- Lead the preparation of mid-term and final reviews, necessary for funding authorities e.g. with EU support under Horizon Europe
